New Hampshire's DWI & Personal Injury Lawyer

In July I attended the summer session of the National College for DUI Defense at Harvard Law School in Boston. The NCDD is a non-profit, professional corporation committed to the improvement and development of DUI defense law.

NCDD members represent the most experienced and best trained DUI defense attorneys in the United States. I'm honored to say I've been appointed a sustaining member of the National College for DUI Defense for my high level of proficiency and knowledge in DUI defense law.

Does NH DWI Law Include Mandatory Jail Time?
Many people have asked whether a conviction for DWI in New Hampshire includes mandatory jail time. The answer depends on the existence of previous DWI convictions and the circumstances of the current DWI charge.

It is important to realize that even if the DWI charge carries no jail time, penalties can include fines, suspension of driving privileges, and attendance at an impaired driver intervention program.

DWI: Collateral vs. Actual Consequences
A conviction for Driving While Intoxicated or DWI can have serious consequences both in the form of penalties handed out by the court and in other areas of your life. The punishments given by a court are known as the actual consequences.

All of the other effects that a conviction has on a person's financial, professional, and personal life are known as collateral consequences.

New Hampshire Dog Bite Law
More than 4.5 million people are bitten by dogs each year, with close to 900,000 of the victims requiring medical attention.

Under NH law, a dog owner is strictly liable for injuries caused by his or her dog meaning a dog-related injury only needs to prove that the cause of the injury was a vicious or malicious act on the part of the dog.
